IFP/Chicago screens Gildhaus’ doc at Facets

LISA GILDHAUS on March 15 presents her feature documentary “Almost Home,” about an innovative Milwaukee retirement community.

St. John’s on the Lake is “where residents mingle for afternoon cocktails, choose their own daily schedules, and pursue hobbies like woodworking and playing bridge.”

Gildhaus co-directed with Andrew Lichtenstein. Presented by IFP/Chicago at Facets Multi-Media, 1517 W. Fullerton Ave. Gildhaus conducts a workshop at 6 p.m., screenings at 7 p.m. $5; members free.

PAUL S. MYERS and BRENNAN SHROFF’S comedy “Southern Belles” screens in an IFP/Sundance Channel Sneak Peak March 15 at 9 p.m. at Facets Multi-Media, 1517 W. Fullerton. Laura Breckenridge (“Related”) and Anna Faris (“Scary Movie” I-IV) star as friends from a trailer park scrambling to make it in Atlanta. Sundance releases the DVD March 21.

ICE CAPADES on March 16 presents “Mind Alterations,” a collection of films including Lori Felker’s “101,” Milan Bobysud’s “Sandrails,” Amey Kazymerchyk’s “What don’t you understand about I’m leaving you? again,” Alex Grant’s “The Gardener,” Hans Peter Sundquist’s “Mr. Salvation,” Jean Jeanies’ “Stuffed with Nightmares,” Mike Smith’s “Knife Game,” Zack Hall’s “Reflex,” Chris Collins’ “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off,” Chris Royalty’s “Interruption Series,” Colin Palombi’s “Letter to My Mom,” and Marko Simic’s “Out of the Perambulator.”
