IFA partners with SeriesFest and Second City Film School for Pitch-A-Thon

SeriesFest’s Pitch-A-Thon is on the road to Chicago! The program provides independent content creators with an opportunity to participate in an exclusive live pitch session with top television, new media and digital executives in hopes of moving their unproduced projects forward.

In partnership with Second City Film School, IFA Chicago and made possible by Ed Toolis, the live event will be held at the infamous Second City Theater on March 31st 2022 and will give Chicago comedic creators a platform to take their projects to the next level.

HOW IT WORKS

Writers submit their comedic unproduced episodic projects to participate in this unique opportunity and 5-6 writers are selected to pitch their new series ideas to a live panel of industry experts. Once selected to pitch, writers receive coaching from Working Artist Group to refine their pitch (virtually prior to the event and at an in-person workshop on the day of the event). All writers will get to watch the pitches and feedback live, providing an exciting educational opportunity for everyone.

The winning pitch will receive:

  • Full access to SeriesFest Season 8 (the annual international television festival on May 5-11, 2022 in Denver, Colorado)
  • A one-on-one mentorship meeting with an industry professional to further project development
  • A $500 cash prize

Deadline to submit: Feb. 25, 2022
