NBC Sports Chicago has announced it will air this year’s 65th Annual Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards LIVE on Saturday, November 11 beginning at 7:00 PM.
The annual ceremonies will take place at the Swissotel Hotel in downtown Chicago and marks the first time in nine years the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) Chicago/Midwest Chapter Emmy Awards will air live on linear television.
The 65th Annual Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards will be hosted by local Chicago actor, writer, and acclaimed standup comedian Godfrey. A regular at the famed Comedy Cellar in New York, Godfrey has appeared in numerous films and television programs throughout his career including 30 Rock, Zoolander, Law & Order: SVU, Soul Plane and South Side among others. Godfrey graduated high school from Chicago’s Lane Tech College Prep and received an academic scholarship to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he majored in psychology.
Presenters at this year’s Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards are scheduled to include Geoffrey Baer (WTTW-PBS Chicago), Emily Beier (WBAY-ABC Green Bay), Kate Chappell (WMAQ-NBC Chicago), Anthony Fleming III (Actor), Sabrina Franza (WBBM-CBS Chicago), Jessie Garcia (WDJT-CBS Milwaukee), Joyce Garbaciak (WISN-ABC Milwaukee), Chuck Garfien (NBC Sports Chicago), Ozzie Guillen (NBC Sports Chicago), Emerson Lehmann (WDJT-CBS Milwaukee), Alex Maragos (WMAQ-NBC Chicago), Terry McFadden (WNDU-NBC South Bend), Lauren Moss (WNDU-NBC South Bend), Sylvia Perez (WFLD-FOX Chicago), Zully Ramirez (WSNS-Telemundo Chicago), Asal Rezaei (WBBM-CBS Chicago), Nate Rodgers (WFLD-FOX Chicago), Brittany Schmidt (WBAY-ABC Green Bay), Mary Stoker Smith (WITI-FOX Milwaukee), Sherman “Dilla” Thomas (Chicago historian), Brónagh Tumulty (WGN-Chicago) and Aaron Wilson (WIFR-CBS Rockford).
