Havas Chicago goes “Westworld” for Carl’s Jr

To celebrate the fanboy and girl in all of us for Westworld’s return, Carl’s Jr has released a seriously close version of Westworld’s opening theme song via their Twitter account.

Welcome to WesternBaconWorld. But as the 50-second video claims, “it’s in no way related to a certain show airing on a certain network at a certain time tomorrow.”

Created by Havas Chicago, the tongue-in-cheek video puts its famous sandwich’s tune through the famous Mariposa Saloon player piano and turns out a haunting hunger call for Carl’s Jr. There’s even a cameo by the Tennessee-based chain’s mascot, Happy Star. I just don’t know if Happy Star is real or robotic well you know…

Westworld’s actual Twitter account responded to the burger chain’s tweet saying, “It doesn’t look like anything to me.”

All in all it’s pretty funny and I do tend to love when campaigns incorporate or poke pop culture. I think being a fan of HBO’s hit sci-fi series Westworld also makes me smile even a tad more when I watch the video.
