Grubhub and PetSmart shake paws on new partnership

Grubhub

Grubhub has partnered with PetSmart, marking its first foray into pet retail delivery. Now, pet owners across the U.S. can access PetSmart’s extensive inventory—including food, treats, toys, habitats, supplements, and more—through Grubhub’s platform.

Available at over 1,400 PetSmart locations nationwide, this partnership brings more than 14,000 pet products to customers in all 50 states.

This expansion beyond restaurants, grocery, and convenience stores is a natural fit for Grubhub, as more than half of millennial and Gen Z consumers already shop online for pet products. The collaboration builds on Grubhub’s recent partnerships with Albertsons, CVS, and Mercato and includes PetSmart as part of Grubhub+, the loyalty program offering $0 delivery fees on eligible orders.

“With PetSmart now on Grubhub, we’re making it easier than ever for pet parents to get what they need delivered right to their door,” said Craig Whitmer, vice president of new verticals at Grubhub. “Americans are investing more in their pets, and customers can now cater to their pets’ needs where they already order their favorite meals, groceries, and convenience items.”

Just in time for Halloween and the winter holidays, Grubhub is offering $10 off orders of $40 or more on PetSmart deliveries through Dec. 31, allowing customers to include their pets in the seasonal festivities with ease.
