Global Video has invested $500,000-plus in developing The Virtual Tape Room (VTR Express) that prints to any videotape and optical media format from a file sent to its special site.
VTR Express service, says Global president George Marton, “is an incredibly fast, convenient, secure and economical way to output content output to any format.”
Formats include any SD or HD videotape, CD or DVD format, including Blu Ray, and shipped to your designated clients, he adds.
After securing a user name and password, the producer, located anywhere in the world, sends content as a Quicktime file to the VTR Express FTP site, and project instructions are Emailed to Global Video at a special FTP site. The staff then prepares the content and ships according to the client’s instructions.
This is the latest service of 12-year old Global Video, which provides broadcast quality standards conversion, captioning, professional and mass duplicating, DVD and Blue Ray authoring, replication and duplication services.
Global’s Video Dailies division has digitized more than 1,500 HD and SD tapes into edit-ready files, which are delivered typically via a fire-wire hard drive, for editing on either Avid, Final Cut Pro? or Premier?.
Global Video is located at 230 E. Ohio; phone, 312/475-9200. See www.globlvideo.com.
