Five new cast members join the Kay Oyegun untitled ABC pilot that is expected to begin filming in Chicago on Friday, May 13.

20th Television is onboard as the production company. Oyegun is the writer/ Executive Producer.

The story revolves around five therapists in Philadelphia who find unique ways to solve problems in their patients’ lives while grappling with their own. Ellen Roman, the owner of the practice and a brilliant therapist, has her life shockingly turned upside down when she begins working with a sociopathic patient who may hold the key to the disappearance of her sister five years earlier.

The key cast members that have just been announced are Sendhil Ramamurthy as Amit, a big-hearted and well-respected relationship therapist. Johnny Simmons as Clay, a charming and confident military veteran and therapist. Rahnuma Panthaky as Sonalii, an intuitive and impeccably put-together relationship therapist. Rachel Hilson as Naomi Josef, a smart and fresh-faced, smart and enthusiastic idealist who leads with her heart and radiates warmth. Demetrius Grosse as Detective Theodore Ghanem, who is described as “blue-collar Chicago handsome,” cocky and rough around the edges.

The new cast will join the previously announced lead, Marsha Stephanie Blake who plays Ellen Roman, the owner of the practice and a brilliant therapist as filming gets underway in Chicago.

The locations department will be busy finding locations that resemble Philadelphia. This marks the second ongoing production that is set in a different city but filmed in Chicago. In Justified: City Primeval, now filming in town and on the lot at Chicago Studio City, Chicago will need to pass as Detroit.
