The upcoming season of Chicago P.D. is generating excitement, especially with the addition of a new cast member, Toya Turner, who will be playing Patrol Officer Kiana Cook. The Season 12 premiere, titled “Ten Ninety-Nine,” will air on Wednesday, September 25, marking the return of the show after a long summer hiatus.
In this new season, the Intelligence Unit faces new challenges as they adjust to the absence of key members. Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) has been missing since early in Season 10, and Detective Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) left at the end of Season 11.
This leaves Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and his team trying to cope while handling a surge of cases. The season premiere will take place a month after Voight’s near-death experience, which happened during the Season 11 finale.
Toya Turner’s character, Officer Kiana Cook, will step in to assist the Intelligence Unit, making her highly anticipated debut in this new season. The premiere episode features Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) diving into a new high-stakes drug bust investigation, alongside recurring characters like ASA Chapman (Sara Bues) and Hank Voight.
