Filmscape 2026 is expanding its footprint across Chicago with a new initiative designed to bring industry events, networking gatherings, screenings, and workshops into neighborhoods and venues throughout the city during Filmscape week.
The conference and trade show will remain headquartered at CineCity, its primary venue, but organizers announced plans for partner programming running June 22 through June 28 across Chicago as part of a new citywide push tied to the annual production industry gathering.
Under the initiative, local businesses, production companies, studios, vendors, organizations, and creatives are being invited to submit official Filmscape events that will be promoted through Filmscape’s social media channels, newsletter, and a dedicated listings page on its website.
The expanded programming is intended to create a broader industry presence throughout the city while giving attendees additional opportunities to connect beyond the trade show floor.
Filmscape is also developing a smaller group of larger scale “Partner Events” that will receive additional visibility and support. Those selected events will include co-branding opportunities, in-kind sponsorship support, and promotion both during Filmscape and on the organization’s website.
Partner Events will be open to the public and developed in collaboration with the Filmscape Activation Committee.
The move reflects a growing effort to make Filmscape feel less centralized and more connected to Chicago’s larger production community, including the city’s studios, rental houses, post facilities, agencies, creative spaces, and independent film organizations.
For Chicago vendors and entertainment businesses, the initiative also creates an opportunity to tap into the audience already traveling to the city for the conference while building programming tailored to their own communities and clients.
Additional information and event submissions are available through Filmscape’s Activate Chicago initiative.
