LANCE CATANIA of X-Ray Productions screens his debut HD horror feature “Cup of My Blood” in its theatrical premiere in a weeklong engagement at the Gene Siskel Film Center beginning Aug. 19. MTI Home Video of Miami, Fla. is set to release “Cup of My Blood” on DVD Aug. 30.
Writer/director/DP Catania is executive producer with X-Ray partner Gene Cosentino. Noel Olken of Waitergonebad Productions and co-writer Ken Nillson produced. Featuring Janina Gavankar, Roger Anderson, Lance Mulvaney and Allie Smith.
Catania and Olken established the new production shingle Severe Films in May and are actively developing several horror projects. X-Ray is producing the Jackie Pluton cooking and golf series “The Fairway Gourmet,” which is scheduled to debut on PBS in September.
“Cup of My Blood” screens weekdays, Aug. 19-25 at 6 and 8:15 p.m., Saturday Aug. 20 at 3:15 and 7:45 p.m., and Sunday Aug. 21 at 3 and 5:15 p.m. Catania and Olken will attend the Aug. 19 and 25 8:15 p.m. screenings. At the Film Center, 164 N. State St.
