FBN to air 2nd season of Towers’ hit reality series

Towers Productions’ hit primetime reality series, “Strange Inheritance,” returns for its second season on Fox Business Network (FBN) Wednesday Nov. 11 with a four-episode marathon from 8-10 p.m. CT.

FBN weekend anchor Jamie Colby hosts the half-hour series; each episode a separate, personal story about a family with an unusual inheritance and, as the show concludes, what happens to that inheritance.

Conceived and produced by Jonathan Towers, the series’ executive producer, he says, “Our creative focus as a company is on real people and their life stories.”

When “Strange Inheritance” debuted last January, it became the highest rated show to launch in FBN’s history.

This season will feature another 26 episodes, filmed by a crew of 20 that traveled mostly to small towns in search of unusual bequests.  The stories will range Winston Churchill’s teeth to George Washington’s lost wallet.

They will air back-to-back on Mondays in the 8 p.m. CT hour and encore episodes airing Tuesday through Thursday at 8 p.m. CT.

Award-winning Towers Productions, known for such non-fiction cable programming for every major cable network, changed its company’s business model in 2013 in response to cable programming’s shift to reality shows.

“Reality is where the business is,” Towers said at the time.
