Explore Media, a full-service, multi-award winning South Bend-based production company, has hired Chicagoan Sarah Gitersonke as business development director.
She is responsible for developing new commercial and brand opportunities with Chicago agencies and global brands, and will serve the Midwest and both coasts from the Chicago location.
Explore Media specializes in health care, financial, brand retail, collegiate and anything involving comedy. During its dozen years in business, the company has amassed more than 50 Telly and Addy awards, including an Addy “Best in Show” for 2009 and 2012.
Gitersonke joins from a decade with Chicago’s AKA Media, producers and distributors of broadcast and social media campaigns. She started as an executive producer and then became director of business development, working on accounts including Snickers, Ace Hardware, Kraft Foods, Omron Healthcare and the Got Milk? campaign, among others.
Earlier she’d worked as print advertising sales executive and began her career at a Carbondale ad agency.
Said director Jeremy Pinckert, who founded the company in 2004, “We feel Sarah is the perfect fit with our goal of introducing the creativity and quality of our commercial production capabilities to the Chicago market. It was evident almost immediately we chose the right person.”
