Chicago Fire is back in town filming Season 12. Filming on day one was on the stage at Cinespace Studios but filming on location this week has been at Firehouse 51, home of Engine 51, Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61 and Battalion 25.
We don’t want to post any spoilers but there is a lot of activity at the firehouse in this episode and there are some exciting fire and rescue scenes yet to be filmed next week to complete the first episode.
We stopped by the set just as they were breaking for lunch and received a huge welcome wave from Miranda Rae Mayo (Stella Kidd.) Although we haven’t seen Taylor Kinney (Kelly Severide) yet, he was on set today, as was David Eigenberg (Christopher Herrmann) and Jake Lockett (Sam Carver)
There were several cliffhangers in the Season 11 finale of Chicago Fire that left fans in suspense. Several of our favorite characters’ futures were left up in the air, and viewers were left pondering several key developments.
Stella’s Mission: A major storyline involves Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), who is determined to bring her husband Kelley Severide (Taylor Kinney) back to Chicago. This mission added an emotional dimension to the finale.
Mouch’s Perilous Situation: The finale put firefighter Mouch (Christian Stolte) in a precarious, life-or-death cliffhanger. The unexpected turn of events has added an extra layer of tension surrounding Mouch’s fate.
Brett and Casey’s Relationship: Paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) and Lieutenant Matt Casey’s (Jesse Spencer) relationship took a significant turn in the finale, hinting at a possible happy ending for the couple. With the recent news of Kara Killmer’s upcoming departure from the series, it appears that Brett’s personal life may impact her professional life at Firehouse 51.
We can expect the answers will be revealed in this premiere episode for Season 12. It is scheduled to air on One Chicago Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
