Life-sized cardboard cutouts of actual children from the Off the Street Club will greet passersby at Michigan Ave. and Pioneer Court Sept. 25, in Euro RSCG’s all-day fund-raising effort for the club.
A $10 or more contribution will remove a cutout from the street, replicating scenes from the Euro-created website promoting “Take the Kid off the Street and On To Something Better.”
All 200 Euro staffers have volunteered to take turns, in two-hour shifts throughout the day, to help raise money for the 109-year old West Side institution, which has been largely supported by the city’s advertising community for most of its existence.
Euro RSCG is the 2009 pro bono agency sponsoring the annual Off the Street Club’s fund-raising luncheon that will be held Dec. 3 at the Hyatt Chicago.
