The Escape Pod hires Jared Creason for new CD role

Jared Creason

The Escape Pod has hired Jared Creason in the new position of creative director, from Minneapolis, where he’d been Olson’s creative director, after freelancing in Los Angeles for notable agencies and accounts.

Originally from Newport Beach, Cal., Creason is considered a “hybrid creative,” as he possesses both art director and writer skills. ECD Vinny Warren calls him, “a restless soul with huge creative ambitions. There just aren’t enough Jareds in advertising anymore. We’re very glad to have him.”

Early in his career, Creason spent three years at Saatchi NY. He also has freelanced at ad shops including StrawberryFrog, DDB, David&Goliath, RPA and JWALK. He started his career at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco.

He has created campaigns for Starbucks, Trident, JC Penney, Hans Brinker, Head & Shoulders, Miller, Visine, HP, Scotch Tape and Sprint, and earned a host of awards from the Cannes Lions, Clios, One Show and Art Directors Club to Creativity and Communication Arts.

Clients of The Escape Pod, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, include Southeastern Grocers (Winn-Dixie, Bi-Lo and Harvey’s), Mondelez, EGO Power+ and CDK Global. Among the agency services is a digital studio that creates apps websites and connected devices. The agency has grown to 30 full-time employees.
