Energy BBDO is the host of this year’s Chicago Portfolio Night, when aspiring advertising creatives get a golden opportunity to have their work reviewed by 45 of Chicago’s star creative leaders who always have an eye out for rising talent, May 23 at the 410 Club in the Wrigley Building.
Chicago is one of 18 major cities throughout the world that will simultaneously hold what’s officially called The World’s Advertising Portfolio & Recruitment Review, where hundreds of the world’s most renowned creative directors will give feedback and encouragement thousands of aspiring copywriters, art directors and designers.
For the review, Energy BBDO’s Kevin Lynch has assembled chief creative officers, executive CDs, group CDs, CDs, ACDs and art directors from DDB, Y&Y, Euro RSCG, Two by Four, SaptientNitro, Marc, Tris3ct, Gertrude, Element 70, Digitas, The Escape Pod, Burrell, Cramer/Krasselt, Gyro, McGarryBowen and Energy BBDO.
Recruiters also will be on board.
During “the speed dating of advertising,” each student will spend 15-minutes, during three 45-minute sessions, with different creative directors during the course of the evening.
As an incentive for ambitious creatives to attend Chicago Portfolio Night, Energy BBDO is offering an agency internship to the participant with the best portfolio.
Portfolio Night starts at 5 p.m. with registration, followed by three 15 minute sessions within a 45 minute period, at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30; 9:30 closing announcements, 9:45 overtime and 10 p.m. live entertainment.
