Editor Dana Abel joins Hootenanny

Chicago post house Hootenanny has a new creative editor on their roster. Dana Abel comes to Hootenanny from Optimus, where she spent the majority of her 11-year editing career working for clients like Feeding America, McDonald’s, Chobani, and Esurance, to name a few.

Big-name brands aside, you can also add music video editing and commercial work for healthcare to that list.

Dana looks forward to the unique opportunities that Hootenanny will offer. “I’ve never worked at a woman-owned company before, and that’s something that’s very appealing to me,” she states. “Also, the work environment they’ve created aligns perfectly with my editorial approach.”

“Dana brings a great energy to her work,” says Liz Tate, President of Hootenanny. “Her eclectic experience makes her a great fit for our roster. And I’m particularly excited to add another woman editor to our staff.”

In her spare time, Dana enjoys traveling, rock climbing, and trying to keep up with her 8-month-old daughter, Kiley.

Dana joins Hootenanny’s creative editorial staff, alongside editors Liz Tate, Nikki Vapensky and Sean Halvorsen. They are produced by Executive Producer Don Avila and Producer Samm Smith.
