“HANNAH FREE,” director Wendy Jo Carlton’s feature adapted by Claudia Allen from Allen’s play, is out on DVD June 1 from Wolf Releasing. Sharon Gless (“Cagney and Lacey”) stars as a woman fighting family homophobia to be reunited with her dying lover.
The 2008 feature was produced here in 2008 by Windy City Times publisher Tracy Baim.
Co-starring Taylor Miller (“All My Children”), Maureen Gallagher, Kelli Strickland, Ann Hagemann and Jacqui Jackson. (I was first AD).
Baim took “Hannah” on a successful national theatrical run and national self-release over the past year. She and Carlton had produced the 2006 Gay games official documentary.
