Director Michael Gabriele takes home an Emmy for Room Tone

Michael Gabriele of Daily Planet has taken home the Midwest Emmy for Outstanding Achievement for Directing on the short film, Room Tone.

If you are a filmmaker, the film is a must-see satire of an obsessive sound man who is continuously interrupted by his cast and crew members as he attempts to record room tone.

See if you can spot Scott Marvel as one of the noisemakers who is ultimately “removed” from the set.

Here’s the tagline:
When a sound guy’s attempt to capture “room tone” is constantly thwarted by the noisy antics of his coworkers, he takes extreme measures to achieve silence.

In a recent Facebook post Gabriele announced the win and said he was “completely floored and grateful for the amazing team that helped this ridiculous short film come to life.”
