Comedy director Matt Pittroff, known as an actor’s director and for his distinctive art direction, and his WorkingStiff Production Company joins forces with two women-owned and operated entities who prioritize the nourishment of longstanding and authentic relationships.

Detailing his MO, Pittroff explains, “‘Engaging’ is the name of the game for me. And while it may not be a new concept, it’s as necessary as ever. Engaging in meaningful conversations, fostering trust and opportunities, engaging our company’s services early, often, and allowing us to stay late – all these steps help to eliminate the boundaries between ideation and creation. It enables me to leverage my decades of work/life experience to enhance the comedic storytelling every step of the way. I am not interested in flying in and flying out. Frankly, I think that’s a waste of my services. Ultimately, all this engagement leads to consumer engagement with the brands we service, and that (along with stalwart client relationships) is the best measure of success.”

Speaking of MO, Chicago-based Mo Butler Reps, focuses on representing directorial talent who are directly relevant to the Chicago market and all of the midwest, which has always had a high standard for performance and particularly comedy. Maureen Butler hopes to bolster the strong presence Pittroff holds within the Midwest US.

Butler shares on the relationship, “As soon as we spoke for the first time it was obvious that WorkingStiff has a synergy and a philosophy that instills confidence in clients. Beyond Matt’s talent to cast and direct comedy dialogue so exquisitely and consistently, WorkingStiff truly has the ethic that their name suggests…reliable, steady and thorough,” and as it relates to her territory, she explains, “Midwest agencies want to partner with production companies that are well respected. WorkingStiff has been a favorite film company among seasoned agency producers, most of which have high standards and lots of choices. Matt and his team deliver and make it a wonderful experience during the entire process, inspiring clients to return, which is the best indication of a job well done.”

Off the success of his recent spots for ‘RE/MAX Canada’ debuting during Super Bowl LVII, production company Corner Content (Toronto) will now represent Pittroff north of the border. Corner Content is a boutique production company specializing in content creation, covering a wide range of styles (comedy, testimonial, fashion, food, animation, special effects, kids, cars and interactive) creating unique and engaging spots.

EP Jennie Montford of CC shares, “Matt was highly reco’ed to us by a few agency producers in Toronto we really respect. He fills a niche for us within the comedy world. We were really drawn to the production values that he brings to his spots. His cinematic sensibility and strong production design set him apart.”

“Mo, Susi and Jennie are some of our industry’s original glass ceiling breakers and I love what that says about their vision, work ethic and fearlessness,” Pittroff affirms. “Sales is a tough business, and having doors closed or not being seen/heard is not an option for these successful, powerful and intelligent women. The landscape of advertising has changed for the better and I hope that our partnerships with Mo Butler Reps and Corner Content speak to our ethos and desire to connect and collaborate with those who also feel this shift is for the betterment of our industry and beyond.”

Pittroff remains steadfast in his detail-oriented approach to collaboration. “As always, I want our clients to feel like a massive weight has been lifted off their shoulders when they engage us. We’re adding creative value while trying to make their lives a little less stressful, making things less complicated, and these days, that goes a long way.”
