ELLIOTT V. PORTER directs the feature “All About the Ring” for 25 days this August.
“The film is a romantic comedy about how the institution of marriage has been trivialized by the engagement ring,” said writer/director Porter. Kristina Bell of Reel Soul, Inc. is producing. Auditions are May 12 with callbacks May 26.
“All About the Ring” was previously slated to shoot in fall ’05 with Eldridge Valentine attached to direct. Porter wrote and co-starred in Valentine’s 2005 drama “Caged.”
Porter and Valentine co-directed the 2004 feature “Player In Training,” a selection of Russell Simmons’ New Def Filmmakers project which was released on DVD by York Entertainment.
