Producing their first music video for a national record label was “a labor of love” for two DDB music and interactive experts, Rowley Samuel and Gabe McDonough.
Shot around Chicago last July, their video for New York-based Downtown Records’ R&B artist Kevin Michael singing “Ain’t Got You” has just landed on YouTube and other online music sites.
McDonough, a musician with record label and record promotion experience, is DDB’s senior producer of music and integration. Samuel, a Brit who had his own production company in London and produced spots and music videos, is the agency’s director of creative integration.
The agency duo created the treatment and a team from Foundation Content shot and finished the three-and-a-half minute “super cool video.”
