David Letterman is in town hosting his Netflix series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman.

In his new show, Dave gets back out in the world and digs deep as he teams up with fascinating global figures for in-depth interviews and curiosity-fueled excursions.

It’s been eight years since Letterman retired from hosting The Late Show after a 20 year run. In a recent visit as a guest on the show, that is now hosted by Steven Colbert, Letterman commented that he misses the work.

“I miss everything, mostly it’s fun,” he said. “Very few things in life provide one the opportunity — if you muck one up, 24 hours later, you get to try again and that’s a pretty good device.”

He didn’t leave without asking Colbert if he could sit in his chair. “It’s not easy but you make it look very easy, so congratulations to you and your entire staff,” Letterman said.

The new show does not follow the talk show formula of a set with two chairs. Letterman interviews his guests on location. His past guests have been Billie Eilish, Kevin Durant, Ryan Reynolds, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Will Smith, Cardi B., Barack Obama, Malala Yousafzai, George Clooney, Jay Z, Tina Fey, Howard Stern.

The Chicago filming will be at the The Den Theater on Milwaukee Ave on December 12 & 13. The burning question is, who is David Letterman here to see in Chicago? It could be a sports celebrity, a politician, or one of our many actors currently filming in town.
