COMPOSER ELLIOT DELMAN scored two Crate and Barrel spots, one a lifestyle story with vintage-like music and the other a contemporary track. Delman played or programmed all the instruments on both tracks.
“?Everyday Dinner’ is a lifestyle story. In an attempt to give it a timeless feel, I offset the modern setting with a more vintage song. I had the Inkspots in mind for the song “Loves to Bake,” he said. Keithen Carter sang.
“Gifts” called for a contemporary track and Avenue editor Liz Tate created a voice montage of “regular people’s voices of what people say when giving a gift, capped off with the tag, ?When you have something important to say, say it in black and white.’
Lynn Dangel of Dangel Advertising strategized and created the spots, Adele Testore produced, and Dennis Manarchy directed. See www.delmanmusic.com or www.createandbarrel.com.
