“Crime Fiction” gains traction with 5-year DVD
and online distribution deal with Anthem Pictures

Chicago-made thriller, “Crime Fiction,” is in distribution on DVD and online through a five-year deal signed with Anthem Pictures of Agoura Hills, Cal. that includes an initial 10,000-disk run.

Producer Graham Ballou, partner in Crime Fiction Pictures, was optimistic about prospects for the release, given Anthem’s recent output deal with Hewlett Packard for online.

Crime Fiction Pictures retained foreign rights in the deal. “We’ve had some international inquiries,” Ballou said. “We want to see how it does here to gain some leverage in foreign sales.”

Ballou and law firm Holland and Knight negotiated the distribution deal with Anthem VP Keith Walley.
