Creamette celebrates holidays with contest and sweaters

Creamette

As the holiday season approaches, Creamette has introduced an exciting consumer contest that seamlessly combines two cherished holiday traditions: family recipes and festive personalized sweaters.

The contest, developed by Havas, and running until Thursday, November 29, invites pasta enthusiasts to submit their favorite holiday pasta recipes at RecipeSweater.com for a chance to win a year’s supply of Creamette pasta and a unique, heirloom sweater. Notably, these distinctive sweaters will be designed by real-life grandmas and adorned with their cherished recipes.

According to Michael Baughman, Brand Director, General Manager, “Creamette was one of the first brands to ever put a recipe on a box of pasta and THE VERY FIRST to ever put recipes on a sweater!”

A hundred fortunate participants selected through the contest will have the opportunity to enjoy a year’s worth of Creamette pasta. The highlight of the prize, however, lies in the personalized heirloom sweater that winners will receive. Crafted by experienced grandmothers, these sweaters will be adorned with the winning participants’ favorite recipes, creating a unique and sentimental piece of clothing.

To add a touch of warmth and authenticity to the contest, Creamette has collaborated with the internet’s beloved famous grandma, Brunch with Babs. As part of the partnership, Babs Costello will share her cherished family recipe, Baked Penne Pasta, with her dedicated followers, further spreading the joy of cooking and creating lasting memories during the holiday season. Hi it’s Babs! You guys love my sweaters and this one is special! Creamette is teaming up with grandmas to help preserve your cherished family recipes by putting them on holiday sweaters. Submit your pasta recipe at RecipeSweater.com for a chance to win a custom recipe sweater–and a year’s supply of Creamette pasta. There’s even a QR code on the sleeve so you can share the recipe with family and friends every time you wear it.   But you don’t have to wait for mine – I’m giving it to you below! BAKED PENNE, I make it every year for my white elephant party!   Ingredients: 3 tbs extra-virgin olive oil 1 lb. Italian sausage (casings removed) 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped 1 tsp dried oregano ½ tsp fennel seeds, coarsely crushed Pinch of red-pepper flakes (optional) 2 (28-oz) cans crushed tomatoes with juice ¼ cup basil leaves, additional ¼ cup basil leaves for topping (optional) Kosher salt 1 lb box dried Creamette Penne 8 oz freshly grated mozzarella (2 cups by volume) 8 oz whole milk ricotta (1 cup by volume) ⅓ cup grated Parmesan     Directions: Heat oven to 425 degrees. Heat oil in a deep, 12-inch skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high. Crumble sausage into skillet. Make sure to break up more as it cooks. Stir occasionally for 5-7 minutes until the meat is just browning. Add garlic, oregano, fennel seeds and red pepper flakes (if using), and cook 1 to 2 minutes.   Add tomatoes and their juice. Add ¼ of basil and 2 tsp salt, bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes.   Stir in pasta and 1 cup water, return to a simmer. Continue to simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently to make sure pasta doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. Remove from heat and fold in half the mozzarella. Pour mixture into a 9×13 casserole dish. Top pasta with remaining mozzarella and dollops of ricotta. Sprinkle with Parmesan, then transfer to oven. Bake until pasta is tender when poked with a fork, and cheese is lightly golden, 18 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Top with ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, if using and serve!   #Creamette #PastaRecipe #RecipeSweater #FamilyRecipe #HolidayRecipe #HappyHolidays
