There were two significant hires this week for recently-opened post and production studio Conspiracy.
LA-based editor Cory Livingston, a nationally-known comedy/dialog specialist, joined the roster and Chicago industry maven Jen Giles of Scout Creative Reps signed to sell Conspiracy’s services in the Midwest.
At Conspiracy, Livingston, called “a respected, long-established talent with a national following,” by EP/Managing Director/partner Joy Holbrook, joins Chicago-based editors/partners Steve Stein and Nate Pence.
On his resume, Livingston lists clients Coca-Cola, Hulu, Mentos, MTV, Bud Light Super Bowl, and campaigns with directors Aaron Stoller, Paul Hunter, Jody Hill and the Lonely Island, as highlights of his work.
“So much of my work has come out of the relationships I’ve built in Chicago and its great tradition of comedy,” Livingston says as he looks forward to working with Chicago agencies.
He began his professional post career at Mad River Post, followed by nearly a decade at Whitehouse Post and a move to Filmcore (predecessor company to Beast).He’s been freelancing for top LA post houses since 2009.
Jen Giles, an Oklahoma native, started her rep company in 2010, after a decade spent as a Dallas an agency producer and a post house producer at Cutters and Swell Pictures. Conspiracy is currently her exclusive Chicago-based company; she represents long-established Gartner and a sister company of LA, two international companies and one based in London.
Giles has had a long-standing relations with several of the Conspiracy partners. “When the company launched last June I was interested in supporting them and believe their many levels of experience talent,” she says. “It’s an honor to be here at the beginning and move forward, being part of something special.”
