Chiopolis’ Halloween Masquerade party Oct. 27 a great place for creative professionals to network

One of the city’s biggest entertainment industry networking events will focus on the most theatrical of holidays.

Chiopolis Entertainment and the Chicago Independent Artists Network present the first annual Networking Mixer and Halloween Masquerade Ball Saturday, Oct 27.

Creative professionals in film, theater, television, literary and music industries are invited to attend this evening of psychic death readings, scary movie screenings, food, drink and cash prize costume contests.

“Most importantly,” says Nick Monteleone, partner with Cal Sade and Frank Kam in Chiopolis Entertainment, “this is a great opportunity for networking with other industry talent.”

Opened last February by a group of like-minded young men seeking to create a needed network of industry professionals, Chiopolis is an ambitious multi-level, script-to-screen production company.

The party venue is Chiopolis’ facility?an extensive 27,000-sq. ft. Humboldt Park building that was renovated after past incarnations as a methadone clinic, a church and a Woolworth’s.

The facility also boasts a “black-box” theater, an 85-seat screening, with Dolby? 5.1 Surround Sound, a green screen room, a 10,000-sq. ft. space for performances and events and rental offices.

Services such as talent management, casting, office rentals and database referral systems are also offered, in keeping with its goals of producing proprietary independent features, and becoming the premier provider of film production talent in the Midwest.
