The Intelligence Unit is heading back to work. Chicago P.D. returns for Season 14 on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC, with episodes streaming the following day on Peacock.
The new season brings back the core ensemble led by Jason Beghe as Sgt. Hank Voight, alongside Patrick John Flueger as Detective Adam Ruzek, Marina Squerciati as Detective Kim Burgess, LaRoyce Hawkins as Detective Kevin Atwater, Benjamin Levy Aguilar as Dante Torres, Arienne Mandi as Officer Eva Imani, and Amy Morton as Desk Sgt. Trudy Platt.
Season 14 will continue the unit’s mix of dangerous investigations and increasingly complicated personal lives, with several characters entering the new season carrying major changes from Season 13. Meet them below:
Jason Beghe as Sgt. Hank Voight
Where would Chicago P.D. be without its gravelly-voiced Sergeant Hank Voight? Whether he’s chasing down suspects, working undercover or dealing with the administrative fallout of a difficult case, the Intelligence Unit commander remains the man expected to get the job done.
Beghe’s credits include Thelma & Louise, G.I. Jane and Monkey Shines, along with series including 1st & Ten, Californication, Picket Fences, American Dreams and To Have & To Hold. More recent film credits include I Was a Stranger and Reverse the Curse.
Patrick John Flueger as Detective Adam Ruzek
Season 14 brings back Flueger as Detective Adam Ruzek, one of the Intelligence Unit’s original members and one of its most passionate investigators.
Outside his long run on Chicago P.D., Flueger has appeared in The 4400, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds, and Warehouse 13. His film credits include The Princess Diaries, Brothers, Footloose and Kill Theory.
Marina Squerciati as Detective Kim Burgess
Kim Burgess remains one of the Intelligence Unit’s ride-or-dies, and her personal life remains as central to the series as the cases she works.
Her marriage to Ruzek and the challenges she faces raising her daughter remain key parts of the character’s story.
Squerciati has also appeared in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU, The Good Wife, Gossip Girl, The Americans and Special Skills. Her film credits include Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, Central Park, Frances Ha, and Marshall.
LaRoyce Hawkins as Officer Kevin Atwater
Hawkins returns for the first few episodes as longtime Intelligence Unit member Kevin Atwater, with Season 14 poised to follow one of his biggest personal developments yet: becoming a father.
Outside Chicago P.D., Hawkins has appeared in Detroit 1-8-7, South Side, House of Payne and Special Skills. His film credits include The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain, Hope Springs Eternal, Canal Street and Beyond the Likes. Recent work includes 93 ’Til and Power Book IV: Force.
Benjamin Levy Aguilar as Dante Torres
Aguilar is back as Dante Torres, one of the unit’s most passionate and empathetic recruits.
After a period of soul-searching in Season 13, Torres heads into the new season with a renewed focus.
Aguilar’s credits include Filthy Rich, Aloha Aha, Social Norm, and The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window. His film work includes Hiding Places, Before the Dawn and Cultural Clash.
Arienne Mandi as Officer Eva Imani
After joining the series in Season 13, Arienne Mandi returns as Officer Eva Imani.
Voight previously helped Imani track down her long-lost sister, only for her to discover that reconnecting would be far more complicated than she hoped.
Mandi is also known for playing Brienne Zalkin in Your Friends & Neighbors, with other television credits including The L Word: Generation Q, The Night Agent, NCIS, Hawaii Five-O, and NCIS: Los Angeles. Her film credits include Escape Artist, Love, Classified, Break Even, Baja and Tatami.

Amy Morton as Desk Sgt. Trudy Platt
Amy Morton returns as Desk Sergeant Trudy Platt, whose eye-rolls, barbed wit, and no-nonsense approach have made her one of the Intelligence Unit’s most enduring figures.
Platt remains one of Voight’s closest friends and one of the force’s most experienced officers.
Morton’s film credits include It Ends with Us, Up in the Air, Rookie of the Year, Bluebird and 88MM. Her television work includes ER, Private Practice, Girls, Blue Bloods, Homeland, Boss, and The Bear.
The new season arrives as NBC continues celebrating the network’s 100th anniversary, with Chicago P.D. remaining an anchor of its One Chicago lineup.
The night begins with Chicago Med Season 12 at 8 p.m. ET, followed by Chicago Fire Season 15 at 9 p.m. and Chicago P.D. Season 14 at 10 p.m.
For a franchise built around continuity, familiarity and pressure-cooker relationships, Season 14 looks set to keep the formula intact while pushing its veterans into another round of personal and professional upheaval.
