Merit Kahn

Originally conceived as a 50-minute stand-up comedy set to celebrate her 50th birthday, the show evolved into a full-fledged one-woman production. It takes the audience on a hilarious journey through each of the five decades of Kahn’s life, but more importantly, it encourages viewers to reflect on their own life stories with a question that has the power to transform their lives.

Carole Montgomery, a comedy veteran with over 40 years of experience, producer of Funny Women of a Certain Age on Showtime, and director of Who Chiseled That?, described the show as relatable and all-encompassing. She praised Merit Kahn’s clever humor and likable stage presence.

Audience member Ruby Newell-Legner expressed her enthusiasm, stating “This is a show that belongs on Broadway!”

Kahn is not only a stand-up comedian but also a professional keynote speaker and author. She began her career in Chicago broadcasting at US99, WJJD/WJMK, and Q101. Kahn’s message revolves around finding humor in adverse situations and rewriting one’s past through comedy to reshape the future. Her mission is to inspire others to change their futures by reimagining their pasts.

The U.S. tour of Who Chiseled That? commences with performances in Chicago on October 5th, 6th, and 7th at 7:30 pm, and on October 8th at 3 pm at The Den Theater.
