Reel Chicago received a Chicago Casting Alert from AuditionsFree for Chicago P.D. extras for Season 10.
If you feel the desire to be included in one of the most watched TV series, here are all the details to get registered with the agency that is handling the casting for the Chicago P.D. extras, stand-ins, and non-speaking roles.
Chicago P.D. airs on NBC and was originally a spin-off of the Chicago Fire series. The series follows 2 units of the Chicago police department, an intelligence unit and a team of street cops.
Chicago P.D. will soon be filming new episodes for Season 10
The show films in Chicago. The extras casting team is currently booking locals who would like to tryout for small, non-speaking roles for the 2022 season of the show.
Please note that the show is only considering Chicago area talent who are available to work on set shortly. Please see the details below for submission information and availability requirements as stated by the agency.
AVAILABLE ROLES:
We’re starting our open call for background actors to join the Chicago P.D. Core Officer group. Availability is KEY for a core role, so please only submit if you have the time to commit 3-5 days a week, (Monday – Friday), 8-12 hours a day, between July and April. If you have another job/daytime commitment or need to request time off work to day play here and there, a core role is not the best fit for you – please wait to submit until we post for general background roles that don’t require a multi-day commitment every week. Core roles are specifically for folks who are willing to commit to the schedule and remain in the same role all season.
Background actor pay is $123.20/8 this season, which is a guaranteed $123.20 for any time worked up to 8 hours, plus time and 1/2 if it goes over 8 hours. Catered meals are also provided.

CHICAGO P.D. – SEASON 10 CORE OFFICERS.
Our core officers work pretty frequently on set. You could be filming anywhere between 1-3 days a week as a patrol officer, tactical officer, crime scene tech or high ranking white shirt officer. We’re looking for folks that follow instructions really well because filming on Chicago P.D. is fast paced and unpredictable at times. We want to make sure we’re sending actors that are capable of not only being flexible in this environment but also ones that are able to focus on their work while maintaining a positive attitude.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Must have open availability throughout the week (as in you are available for 8-12 hrs/day for at least 3 out of 5 days a week)
* Must be physically fit and capable of standing or walking for long periods of time
* Must be between the age of 25 and 55
* Must have strong communication skills – respond to emails, calls and or/texts within 1-2 hours of receiving them
* MALES: Must be clean shaven or willing to shave for the full season
* Must have a car or reliable transportation as Chicago P.D. often films on location. Punctuality is important.
