In celebration of Black History Month, The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center announces an initiative with Walgreens to offer DuSable apparel in select Walgreens locations across the Chicagoland area.
Available now in 11 stores, the limited-edition collection features two styles of shirts in espresso, along with a heather gray color exclusive to Walgreens, as well as two styles of hoodies in jet black, along with a royal blue color exclusive to Walgreens.
The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center, a Smithsonian affiliate, is the nation’s first independent museum dedicated to the collection, preservation and study of the history and culture of African Americans and people of African descent.
“We are committed to continue celebrating and promoting Black history and culture through our museum initiatives,” said Perri Irmer, CEO of The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center. “Partnering with an ever-popular store like Walgreens to sell DuSable merchandise will be a great way to gain awareness around the educational museum and the importance of Black history itself.”
The partnership between The DuSable Museum, a beacon of cultural heritage, and Walgreens, a cornerstone in the community, signifies a shared commitment to honoring and promoting Black history and culture.
