Chgo/LA Conference ties in with Festival events

The Chgo/LA Film Actors/Writers/Filmmakers Conference Oct. 13-17, starting with a massive Hookup Party on the eve of the Conference, makes good on the premise of connecting Chicago with Hollywood insiders.

By tying in with the on-going Chicago International Film Festival and offers many festival-related events for Conference attendees and special rates for ReelChicago readers.

The Conference is staged by former Chicago talent agent Debbie Durkin, who with Josi Konski and James DeMasi of ProActive Media, produced the just-wrapped “National Lampoon’s Cattle Call.”

The L.A. speakers are Endre Hules, distinguished screenwriting professor and Producing Fellow at the American Film Institute, top story analyst and produced screenwriter and and SAG award-winning actor (“Apollo 13,” “Alias,” “My Antonia”); director, actor and acting coach Charles Carroll (currently in “Two for the Money”) who conducts On Camera Workshops; producers Konski and DeMasi, and Durkin on personal marketing strategies.
