Cat’s Pride launches ‘Go for the Medal’ feline-focused Olympics ad

This summer, while the world’s top athletes vie for gold medals, Cat’s Pride is making its own bid for the spotlight with a new, cat-centric commercial titled Go for the Medal, airing during the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Created by the creative minds at Two by Four, this spot cleverly harnesses the high-octane excitement of the Games and translates it into a purr-worthy celebration of feline athleticism. The agency has worked with Oil-Dri Corporation of America, the makers of Cat’s Pride since 2023.

Go for the Medal taps into the cultural zeitgeist of the Olympics, blending the competitive spirit of sports with the everyday agility of cats. The commercial spotlights our feline friends as they perform Olympic-worthy stunts, proving that they too deserve a place on the podium. With the tagline “The Champion of Litter,” the spot underscores Cat’s Pride’s commitment to delivering top-tier litter performance, highlighting its superior instant and long-lasting odor control, while being lightweight.

“We are proud of our work with Cat’s Pride and excited to showcase the brand in a new light during the Olympics,” said Adam VonOhlen, Chief Creative Officer at Two by Four. “Creating work for this monumental event has been a truly rewarding experience.”

The spot aims to position Cat’s Pride as a leader in litter innovation, leveraging the Olympics’ global stage to broaden its reach and reinforce its positioning as The Champion of Litter. The spot’s engaging concept aligns perfectly with the athletic fervor of the Games, promising to captivate viewers and reinforce Cat’s Pride’s high-performance credentials.

The commercial will be broadcast across the Midwest and East Coast, aiming to reach a broad audience of both sports enthusiasts and pet lovers alike. Cat’s Pride can be purchased in store and online.
