Bueller? Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

35 years later, Ferris Bueller returns to Chicago for Chicago Public Library’s Live From the Library.

Matthew Broderick returns to Chicago virtually this morning live on CPL’s Facebook and Instagram pages at 10 am, reading his childhood favorite Cannonball Simp by John Burningham.

It’s been nearly 35 years since Matthew Broderick showed us that you can do anything you really set your mind to, even if that was playing hooky from school without getting caught in Ferris Bueller’s case.

While Broderick’s lovable Ferris Bueller character carries out his sophisticated plan, he takes us around Chicago from the Art Institute, to the Sears Tower, to the Chicago Board of Trade and Mercantile Exchange, to the Tribune Building, to Wrigley Field.

Bueller

Matthew Broderick put our city on display 35 years ago and he’s back today as the latest celebrity taking part in a Chicago Public Library’s “Live From the Library” program that taps well-known people with links to Chicago reading children’s books virtually — content that kids could watch on the library’s Facebook and Instagram accounts from home during the pandemic at facebook.com/chipublib/live/.

No word yet on whether Abe Froman, Sausage King of Chicago, will be making an appearance.
