Brella Productions’ studios have gone green

HGTV’S “New Spaces” host, Jim Parks, has teamed with Evanston’s Brella Productions to produce “Today’s Green Minute,” a webisodes series based on Parks’ popular newspaper columns and Podcasts.

The first “Minute” of the bi-weekly series was about recycling cell phones and distribution fittingly began on Earth Day, April 22, on websites, YouTube and many other digital outlets.

“We want to bring something green into the world,” says Mark Mallchok, partner with his wife, Bernadette Burke, in 18-year old Brella Productions, who has started working with Evanston actor/voiceover and columnist Parks for the past year.

The educational and informative “Minutes,” scripted by Parks and directed by Whit Conway, are released every two weeks on a Thursday; six new webisodes have been shot and the next seven are now being written.
