Bosco busy with sports spots

THE WOLVES are at Bosco Productions’ door, in the best possible sense, in commercials the full-service company created to promote attendance at the homes games of Chicago’s NLH hockey team.

Bosco produced four spots, due to air next week, for the Wolves’ recently named advertising and market agency, ESW Partners, headed by Jim Signorelli.

ESW’s executive creative director Phil Lanier led the production of live action combined with tabletop symbols of other sports and recreational events, with the tagline “Serious hockey. Serious fun.” Bosco’s Masahiro Sugano directed and edited.

Earlier, the multi-talented Sugano animated four acclaimed spots for another ESW account, Motor City Casino.

BOSCO’S NEW NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR on the other half of the fifth floor at 160 E. Grand is Gene Costentino’s X-Ray Productions. The full service broadcast production/post house just moved in after five years at 1400 W. Hubbard.

Bosco occupies the full sixth floor and half of the fifth, where it maintains a stage and expanded editing facilities.

BUSINESS is generally holding up, steadyproducers report, despite the economic turmoil in the real world. A nice, steady flow of assignments primarily from repeat clients, many of them adding web visual to their mix.

FOUNDATION CONTENT created a series of four webisodes, titled “Under the Hood,” for Valvoline/Critical Mass. Foundation’s Damien Riddell directed the cast ? talented Foundation staffers ? and also edited. Anna Patel was assistant editor.
