Naperville native Bob Odenkirk returns this spring to direct his second feature, “You Are Going to Prison!” He will shoot April 18-May 22, at the Joliet State Prison and other locations around Joliet and Chicago.
Will Arnett (“Arrested Development”) and Dax Shepard (“Without a Paddle”) star in the prison comedy.
Production supervisor Wileen Dragovan (“Amityville Horror”) encouraged prospective crew to send resumes, and said talks with local vendors were ongoing.
“Of course we want to do everything as much as we can locally,” said Dragovan, who was a location manager here before relocating to Los Angeles two years ago.

Marc Abraham (“Dawn of the Dead”) is producing. The undisclosed budget was raised from private investors through Prison Pictures, LLC.
Ramsey Nickell (“The OH in Ohio”) is shooting on 35mm. Production designer is John Paino (“The Station Agent”). Line producer, Debra Greico (“The Assassination of Richard Nixon”).

“You Are Going to Prison!” is Odenkirk’s followup to the 2003 New Line release “Melvin Goes to Dinner.”
A Southern Illinois University grad, Odenkirk was a standup comedian in Chicago who went on to write for “Saturday Night Live” and write and perform in “The Ben Stiller Show” before launching the hit HBO sketch comedy series “Mr. Show” with David Cross in 1995.
