Bob Hudgins got the call Wednesday afternoon offering him the position of director of the Texas Film Commission?and could he start his new job on Dec. 1.
Notwithstanding two big projects he’s managing at Resolution Digital Studios and the short time frame between jobs, Hudgins said yes.
He succeeds highly respected Tom Copeland, who retired in June after 22 years as TFC director.
Hudgins will headquarter in Texas state capital Austin where he will lead a staff of seven, and oversee production centers in Houston, Dallas and Austin, as well as several regional offices throughout the vast state.
