Bill Murray on Kimmel is simply entertainment at its best

Bill Murray never lets us down. I mean literally, you cannot feel down when Bill is on his game, and last week on Jimmy Kimmel, dressed in a true fashion statement, straw hat and bright coral blazer, with what I’d guess to be an Alpaca or Pomeranian in his pocket, he did not disappoint.

Clearly making the rounds to promote his newest film, Murray surrounded himself in a collection of props to get through the interview. A garage-sale set of steak knives, his son’s English Achievement trophy, and a Snoopy phone easily did the trick.

When asked, Murray, who turned 70 a couple weeks ago (I know right?) said it is absolutely possible to have fun with safety.

“Yes, I think you can have fun with safety. I really do,” Murray said. “You know there are those people who say, ‘Safety first, last and always,’ and I usually hide from those people, but I find that now I’m looking for them.”

Take a look at the entire interview. You can thank me later.

On the Rocks

Murray stars in the upcoming Sofia Coppola movie On the Rocks. The story of a young mother ( Rashida Jones ) who reconnects with her larger-than-life playboy father ( Bill Murray ) on an adventure through New York. In this comedy about aging, marriage, and the tenuous bond between parents and grown children, New York author and married mother-of-two Laura has become suspicious that her career-driven husband ( Marlon Wayans ) may be having an affair with a coworker, a speculation encouraged by her caddish, bon vivant father.

On the Rocks will premiere in selected theaters and on Apple TV+ this month.
