(Chicago — 12 April 2008) Big Teeth Productions has moved to divide the 12-year old company into two separate entities: Big Teeth Films and Big Teeth Animation. Both will continue to operate at their 2,000 square foot studio located in Chicago’s growing Ravenswood Corridor.
The move allows Big Teeth to refine its focus and offerings for current and future clientele.
Elise Jaffe, Owner and Executive Producer, will head up Big Teeth Animation while Co-Owner and Creative Director Gregg Jaffe will work to continue the growth of Big Teeth Films.

Of the recent change, Elise said, “as I embark on my 20th year in advertising and production I realize that while I enjoy the business management side of Big Teeth, and will continue as the overall EP, I really love post-producing, so, now I can focus more on that.”
Gregg Jaffe added, “while this won’t change things drastically at Big Teeth HQ, it gives us a chance to be more strategic and creative in how we market ourselves and service our clients. I personally am excited to push the limits further on documentary work and focus more on showcasing our scripted comedy chops.”

When asked about the change, CFO Winnie Cooper Jaffe (aka office dog) had no comment.
Big Teeth Animation was recently tapped to design and animate multiple pieces of content for global insurance company AXA’s education platform. Big Teeth Films continues to produce work for Sesame Street, University of Illinois at Chicago & various Chicago based non-profits.
