A big new home for Hootenanny

Partners Liz Tate and Jim Annerino’s Hootenanny editorial boutique moved into expanded new space in the penthouse at 230 E. Ohio, in unique space originally designed and occupied by Outsider.

The growing boutique moved “flawlessly” Nov. 20 into 7,500-sq. ft. of the entire 11,000-sq. ft. floor, a substantial stretch from its former 5,000-sq. ft. space at 211 E. Grand.

“We started looking for new space a year ago, when we learned the Grand Ave. building was coming down,” says Tate. “We signed the Ohio St. lease last June and spent the last five months building out the new space.”

The company preferred did not use an architect. “We brought our own design aesthetic with us, to give the space a more casual vibe,” adds Tate, a leading commercial editor.
