Andy Warhol Museum introduces the Death Kit

Andy Warhol Museum

Today is Halloween. Why wouldn’t we end the day with a morbid AF story? The Andy Warhol Museum is inviting audiences to face the inevitable and have a little fun doing it.

To promote its new exhibition Vanitas, the museum partnered with BarkleyOKRP to create The Warhol Death Kit. This limited-edition art box transforms the grim subject of mortality into an act of pop art self-expression.

Equal parts memento mori and modern design object, The Warhol Death Kit encourages people to craft their own legacy with a sense of humor that would’ve made Andy proud. Inside, users will find everything they need for a stylish sendoff, including:

  • A “Write Your Own Eulogy” guidebook — because no one knows your legend like you do.
  • An “In Lieu of Flowers” worksheet (“In lieu of flowers, dress like the deceased”).
  • Coloring sheets to sketch your ideal tombstone.
  • A “What to Do With Your Hands” coffin pose poster offering overlooked options.
  • Heaven/Hell voting paddles for loved ones to debate your final destination.
  • A recordable message button for your last words — haunting or heartfelt, your call.
  • The official Vanitas exhibition art book.

Darkly funny and undeniably Warhol, The Warhol Death Kit reframes death not as an ending, but as the ultimate creative statement — one last chance to make art out of life itself. Watch below:

Happy Halloween!
