Chicago-based healthcare marketing and communications agency AbelsonTaylor Group has promoted Amy Restko to vice president, engagement strategy.
Restko, who joined the agency in 2016, has played a key role in building and advancing AbelsonTaylor Group’s engagement strategy capabilities, with a focus on behavioral insights, omnichannel planning, and connected customer experiences across healthcare brands.
In her new role, Restko will continue leading integrated engagement strategies across the agency’s healthcare portfolio, partnering with planning, creative, media, analytics, and account teams to develop customer experiences designed to drive behavior change and business growth.
She will also help shape the agency’s evolving omnichannel and customer experience offerings while mentoring emerging strategy talent across the organization.
“Amy’s move from Planning to Engagement Strategy marked a bold step, and she quickly proved her ability to lead and innovate,” said Lynnette Hunter, EVP, director of client services. “From the outset, she brought new ideas and structure to a team in need of guidance, demonstrating her ambition and readiness for the challenge. Amy consistently challenges the status quo, elevates our discipline, and inspires everyone around her through both her strategic thinking and her service-first leadership approach.”
Throughout her tenure, Restko has helped develop omnichannel engagement strategies for major healthcare brands while also strengthening the agency’s internal strategic tools and processes. She created AbelsonTaylor Group’s IncubATor Sessions, a professional development initiative designed to help junior and mid-level strategists explore topics including behavioral science, AI, collaboration, and innovation.
She has also helped codify omnichannel engagement frameworks, customer experience mapping tools, and workshop methodologies used across multiple brands and teams.
Restko’s work has earned industry recognition as well. She was named a 2024 Clio Health Innovator and will receive PM360’s 2026 ELITE Strategist Award. In 2025, she was honored with a Women of Distinction Woman to Watch award.
In addition to her client and agency leadership, Restko is active in AbelsonTaylor Group’s Psychological Safety initiative, which received the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association’s 2023 ACE Aspire Award. She also chairs the agency’s Hearts AT Work corporate social responsibility program and serves on the Auxiliary Board of Chicago’s Off the Street Club.
Restko earned a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and Business Communication and a Master of Science in Advertising from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Earlier in her career, she worked in research and strategy roles at Edelman and held internships with Leo Burnett and Glass Box Research.
The promotion reflects AbelsonTaylor Group’s continued investment in engagement strategy as healthcare marketers navigate more complex customer journeys, omnichannel communications and behavior-driven brand experiences.
