In the battle of the Super Bowl ads there is one clear winner.
The Farmer’s Dog Forever was not only chosen by both Reel Chicago and Reel 360 as our #1 favorite Super Bowl ad, but the ad is also the audience favorite across the country.
The 60 second journey of Forever spans the life of a chocolate lab named Bear and the girl who loved him. It took five dogs of various ages to represent the life of the lab, from an impish young puppy to a wise old senior. The pups, Wayne and Samantha, Princess, Bolt and Blue came from several sources. Only one has ever been on screen before.
USA Today’s Ad Meter results are in and director Goh Iromoto‘s heartwarming commercial Forever for The Farmer’s Dog earned the #1 spot! Ad Meter panelists were tasked with voting on all 51 Super Bowl commercials, rating them on a scale from 1 to 10.
As the saying goes, “never follow an animal act.” Two of the top five picks this year were heartwarming stories about a dog.
The five pups in The Farmer’s Dog Forever stole our hearts and the first place Super Bowl ad over top celebrities such as Will Ferrell, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, Bradley Cooper, Steve Martin and Ben Stiller, Maya Rudolph, Sylvester Stallone, Serena Williams, John Travolta, Donald Faison and Zach Braff, Bryan Cranston, Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart, P.
