AICP’s Meet.Drink.Talk. was a night of connection and celebration

Tunnel Chicago buzzed with energy Wednesday night as AICP Midwest hosted its annual Meet.Drink.Talk. event, drawing a vibrant crowd of advertising agency producers, creatives, and industry professionals from across the Midwest.

The gathering, held from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at 151 W. Kinzie Street, has become a cherished tradition in our commercial production community.

Attendees enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere filled with engaging conversations, networking opportunities, and a shared appreciation for the craft. Appetizers and beverages were served, fostering a welcoming environment for both long-time collaborators and new connections.

The tradition of Meet.Drink.Talk. dates back 15 years and has traveled through a range of Chicago’s most iconic nightlife venues—from Rockit Bar & Grill to The Underground, The Backroom, and now Tunnel. Originally launched as a casual mixer for AICP Midwest members and agency producers, it quickly grew into one of the most anticipated annual events in the local advertising production calendar. Its mission has always been simple: to bring together the people behind the work, in an environment that encourages meaningful connections, casual conversation, while enjoying a few well-earned drinks.

Midwest Regional Director, Lisa Masseur of Tessa Films was thrilled with the turnout, “Look at this crowd! It’s crazy here tonight.”

Tom Duff, President at Optimus and a long-standing supporter of the event, remarked, “It’s springtime in Chicago! Can’t you just feel it? I think that’s what brought everyone out tonight. What a great energy in this room.”

The event was free for AICP Midwest members, their clients, associate members, sponsors, and crew, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to fostering community and collaboration within the industry. Non-members were welcome to attend with a ticket purchase, ensuring an inclusive environment for all interested professionals.

As the evening concluded, attendees left with renewed connections and a shared enthusiasm for the creative endeavors ahead. Meet.Drink.Talk. continues to stand as a testament to the strength and camaraderie of the Midwest’s advertising and production community.
