AICP helps feed the hungry and homeless

GCFD

Every year the AICP chooses a local non-profit whose goal is to feed the hungry and homeless to sponsor during the season of giving. This year, AICP Midwest has chosen to team up with the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) by hosting both a traditional food drive-stationing drop off boxes around the city as well as a virtual drive; allowing for online contributions.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository is a member of Feeding America, the national network of food banks. GCFD itself, acts as the hub for a network of more than 700 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other programs throughout Chicago and Cook County.

Their programs address the specific needs of diverse groups, including children, older adults and veterans. By feeding the hungry, they enable families to focus on other priorities like education, growth and security.

Donation boxes will be at Carbon VFX/Whitehouse Post, Cutters and Quriosity/Tessa/Story through the New Year. There will also be a box available for donations at the AICP show on November 21st at Venue SIX10.

Every $1 can help provide three meals.

AICP thanks you for donating during this season of giving! We will continue to take donations through the end of December and we urge those attending our festivities this week to consider donating!

Virtual donations are particularly appreciated and can be used throughout the year to help those most in need.
