Ad agency’s video business rapidly growing

A rapidly growing number of big social media and educational video projects has led Pure Imagination, a full-service Batavia-based advertising agency, to seek additional staff.

“Video has been taking off,” says agency co-owner Len Davis. “Corporate, educational and a little bit of commercial production has taken us beyond what we can do in-house with the current staff.”

Pure Imagination’s staff of nine is about evenly divided among print, web and video.

Pure Imagination is three months into a social media campaign for Sears. They’re in negotiations to produce 48 videos for “Sears Chef Challenge,” which will shoot multiple rounds in Sears stores in New York, Washington, D.C., and L.A. as well as Chicago. Production is scheduled for August and September.
