AbelsonTaylor appoints K. Pearson Brown in newly created post

Leading health and wellness agency AbelsonTaylor has appointed K. Pearson Brown, a seasoned public relations professional, to the newly created post of director of marketing and communications. She will direct internal and external communications for the agency, focusing on recruitment marketing, employee engagement, and company culture. She reports to Jeff Berg, president.

Brown has more than two decades of experience in strategic marketing communications, corporate communications, and digital media, with an extensive background in healthcare and the technology, consumer, entertainment and nonprofit sectors.

A serial entrepreneur, Brown has successfully launched several small companies, products and services during her career, including PBPR, a digital media company she founded in 2011 in Los Angeles.
Prior to joining AbelsonTaylor, Brown was director of communications for Vibrent Health in Fairfax, Va., a company that builds digital health research tools for the NIH and other research institutions. She also served as a vice president at HealthWell PR in Los Angeles and PMBC Group in Beverly Hills. She honed many of her skills while directing consumer, lifestyle and tech accounts in the Los Angeles office of global agency Allison + Partners.

Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and communications from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. She is also a graduate of the Film and Video Institute at American University. She has been a member of the Public Relations Society of America for 22 years and frequently volunteers her professional skills to civic and social groups that she supports.
