More than 400 film professionals have RSVP’d their attendance at the free Expo, being held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at AbelCine’s Chicago Learning Point on the fourth floor at 2602 W. 16th St.

“All the major camera and lens manufacturers will be represented,” says Pete Abel, AbelCine president / CEO and cofounder of the New York-headquartered camera sales and rental company, who is here for the Expo.

The exhibitors include Arri, Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Red, VRI, IDX, Zeiss, Tiffen, Sony, Angenieux, Core SWX, Sound Devices/Video Devices, Digital Sputnik, Newtek, Sigma and many others.

Throughout the day, manufacturers’ reps, at a manufacturer area set in the Learning Point, will make special interest presentations about their gear, along with AbelCine specialists Chicago’s Megan Donnelly of Chicago, New York training manager Jeff Lee and LA tech specialist Ian McCausland.

All attendees will be given raffle tickets for giveaways throughout the day for such valuable prizes as a DJI Phantom 4 drone, DJI OSMO lightweight stabilizer, Canon XC10 camera and Miller Solo Pod, Nila Varsa light kit, a Canon C500 camera and other prizes to be announced.

Breakfast, lunch, and hors d’oeuvres will be provided, along with a special refreshment bar. No charge, of course, but to attend, RSVP here. Phone, 877/880-4267.
